Tattoos how much do they really hurt?

In this article I will explain why a tattoo is so painful and how you might be able to stop the pain.

The pain of getting a tattoo is different for everyone; someone could say it doesn’t hurt when that same thing could make someone faint at the intense pain that they feel. Some people describe the feeling as a “hot scratch”. Some have said it was “annoying”. Most say it was not nearly as bad as they feared.

You probably heard that people pass out during a tattoo session because of the pain, but it is not the pain that makes them pass out but because they probably didn’t eat that day and their blood sugar dropped or just worked themselves up so much that they pass out. And if you have a fear of needles you are probably going to hate getting a tattoo but the needle doesn’t go in all that far, just enough to go through the skin, which is about 1/16 of an inch, look at a ruler or measuring tape its not that deep. And bleeding well you either do not bleed or bleed a very little amount, but if that still scares you then get the tattoo in a place where you can’t see the artist working. Everyone going for a tattoo always has some nervousness its natural, your body is just making your endorphins kick in to help you overcome any pain you feel, and do some research on how the whole process works before getting your tattoo most of the time know what is going on help calm you down.

Now you shouldn’t feel a lot of pain after your tattoo session is done, but if you do then there are to things you should think about:
1. Is your tattoo artist tattooing you too deep?

Are your lines nice and thin and even all the way around?

Are there any “shadows” of ink outside the lines underneath your skin?

Do you see any ink where it doesn’t belong?

Did you scar much?

Yes to any of these questions can mean the artist is going to deep and you might want to change tattoo artists.

2.You may have sensitive skin and here are some options for that:

Make your sessions shorter. If you can only handle 30 minutes worth, then do so.

If you’re working on a large tattoo, you may feel pressured to sit through longer sessions than your body can handle.

You hold the money and you make the rules. If you need a break, tell the artist you need to stop for 5 minutes. If you need to go home, then go home and tell him you’ll get more done in a couple of weeks. As far as the shading pain level goes, it’s hard to say.
Are you the type that feels guilty for trying out a new hairdresser or even going to a new grocery store? Changing artists can be just as hard, but why should you get tattoo from someone that you think isn’t doing their best work, your going to be stuck with it for a life time so why not make sure that it is the best that you can get for the money that your putting out to get it. It’s better to change now then to be stuck with something that’s on your body that you don’t like. Just make sure that it is something that you like and not what the tattoo artist just decided to put on there and you were too scared to say “no”.
