Tattoo Placement
Where you place your tattoo is a very important decision, you need to decide whether or not you want a tattoo that can been hidden. This decision is not just based on your personality, but on your career, social life, etc. Also consider weight gain and loss, it is rare that we stay the same size as we were when the tattoo was done. How will the tattoo that was done on a taunt body part look if you gain a little weight in the area? Another consideration is if you are going to get more tattoos , how will they all fit together?
So let’s look at lifestyle first. Having a sexy hidden tattoo can be very sensual, a nice surprise for the person(s) you get close to. Not only that but it is a secret little thrill knowing that you have body art that no one else can see.
Are you somewhat flirtatious, in that case a tattooflash is always fun. A sneak peak when you are dancing or wearing something that will occasionally let the world view your tattoo. Lower back pieces are good for this as are upper breast/chest, hip area, etc. You might have a bold personality and have a tattoo that is visible to the world on most occasions, sleeve tattoos, arm bands, wrist, etc.
Now let’s look at the design – can it be scaled down to fit a smaller area of your body or is it such a large piece that it will take up your entire back? For example Angel Wings look best when they become part of your back – the tattoo will be more expensive and more painful as it is a large area to cover.
Think about your pain threshold, tattoos placed close to bones i.e. wrists, shins, elbows, the spine are more painful than fleshy areas such as the upper arm. I can say from experience that armbands are great, but the back of the arm is very tender.
Where you position your tattoo says almost as much as the tattoo itself. Select an area where you will enjoy it for the rest of your life.
